Hey there! I'm LAUREN, but my nickname is
'B DOT'
That's where the company name, B DOT INK, comes from!
I've been writing for as long as I can remember. Even when I was just a kid, I'd 'author' my own little books and proudly sign them 'Lauren B.' The period after the 'B' was always extra large for no reason at all. Whenever my Dad asked me why it was so big, I'd simply reply, 'That's not a period; it's a dot!' And just like that, 'Lauren B Dot' became my household name. And now I’m sharing that name with you!
My journey with hand-lettering began in 2017, and by 2018, I proudly launched B Dot Ink. My very first post, on July 4, 2018, featured the line 'for purple mountains, majesties,' my favorite stanza from the song America the Beautiful. Since then, I've had the privilege of hand-lettering countless envelopes, table cards, invitations, and showcasing my calligraphy skills during live events (another favorite).
When I'm not immersed in the world of lettering & calligraphy, you'll find me chasing after my energetic son, leading worship at church, or stretched across the couch trying to catch up on the latest TV shows.
I have a deep passion for creating wonderful things for wonderful people. Whether it's addressing guest envelopes for a wedding, lettering 'Welcome' on a vintage mirror, or crafting adorable baby milestones (my favorite), I'm here to collaborate with you and make your next event truly unforgettable.

Are you a collector of anything?
Yes! I collect hoodies of the different cities I travel to! (Keeps me warm at night, ya know.)
Introvert or an extrovert??
I found out recently that I fall smack-dab in the center as an ambivert. This explains why I can enjoy a crowd for a couple of hours and then get eager for “alone time.”
What did you want to be when you were a kid?
I saw on TV how rich and cool lawyers looked in their suits & briefcases and thought, “I’d like to be a rich lawyer one day.” After barely scraping by two semesters of college Poli Sci, I quickly switched my major to English and Journalism.
What’s your favorite word?
CHILE (like child or child, please). The louder I say it, the better I feel, lol.
Aside from necessities, what’s the one thing you could not go a day without?
Carmex lip balm! I have literally turned my car around if I forgot it at home.
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I am a breakfast lover, so any breakfast food item will do. If I had to choose a specific one, I’m going with an omelet for sure!
Most daring thing you've ever done?
SKYDIVING from 14,000 feet!!!
Favorite song of all time?
Nothing Even Matters by Lauryn Hill (duh) and D’Angelo. My Close second fave is Butterflies by Michael Jackson.
